The Regional Research Station, Rohtak, was established in 1988 with the objective of soil, water and crop management in Eastern semi-arid sub zone of Haryana (Rohtak zone). The major problems identified for the region are waterlogging, soil salinity, sodicity, shallow water table, poor quality groundwater and poor natural drainage, etc. The research station is engaged in conducting research in specialized areas viz. crop production, crop water management, cropping system, nutrient management and mitigation of salinity-induced stress under salt-affected and poor quality groundwater conditions.
