Budget Branch deals with the following:
| - Adoption of State Govt. instructions from time to time applicable in the University regarding financial matters/pay scales.
- Dealing with the revision of pay scales of teaching and non-teaching staff and related correspondence with State Govt. & other Deptts./Pay anomaly cases.
- Court cases relating to pay scales in some cases.
- Convening the meeting of FC and the correspondence of the same with State Govt., other departments and its members.
- Inviting Excess & Surrender proposals from the departments and its compilation.
- Submission of Budget Estimates and Revised Estimates to the State Govt.
- Total Budget Estimates ( Including State, ICAR and Other agencies schemes) for the financial year 2024-25 is Rs 72401.29 lacs
- Additional Allocation of funds as the request of the various Departments.
- Dealing with Marriage loan cases of entire University.
- Preparation of Budget estimate based on the sanction of Govt.
- All the correspondence regarding RTI related to the Budget Branch.
- Dealing with Other Agency Scheme i.e. Central Govt. (Deptt. of Sc. & Tech., Deptt. of Biotech., Deptt. of Atomic Energy, Deptt. of Agri. & Farmers’ Welfare, UGC, Meteorological Deptt., Deptt. of Agri. & Coop., Deptt. of Earth Sciences etc.), State Govt., Deptt. of Agri. & Farmers’ Welfare, HSHDA, AUC of other agencies.
- Dealing with Inclusion of schemes in the Univ. budget, submission of Provisional AUCs alongwith 1st half demand, Audited Utilization Certificate, 2nd half demand, Maintenance of Grant Register.Inviting SNEs of all ICAR schemes and preparation of Budget accordingly.
- Dealing with routine cases of ICAR and Other Agency schemes i.e. cases of re-appropriation, revised allocation, addl. allocation, upgradation of post etc.
