The College of Agriculture, Bawal was established in 2015 as one of the constituent colleges of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar vide Memo No. Acad. /2015/No. 15/A-2/5350-5498 dated 21.08.2015. The foundation stone of the college building was laid down on February 25, 2017 by Shri Manohar Lal, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana.
Bawal is a municipality in Rewari district of Haryana state and lies in the National Capital Region (NCR) of India. It is located on national highway NH 48, about 14 km from Rewari city, 100 km from Delhi and 200 km from the main campus of the University at Hisar. Bawal is located at 28.09°N 76.59°E at an elevation of 266 m above mean sea level.
The mandate of the college is nurturing scholarly education in agriculture and allied fields to make students professionally competent and socially sensitive and to provide specialized trainings to the students to promote entrepreneurial and other skills among them.
The college has all facilities for students including smart classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, library, computer section, cafeteria, examination hall, seminar hall etc.

The College of Agriculture, Bawal was established in 2015 as a constituent college of Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. It aims to provide agricultural education to rural students in the resource-poor districts of Haryana. With a focus on academic, research and extension needs, the college currently has 389 undergraduate, 17 post-graduate, and 05 PhD students.
The college lies in Bawal (a municipality in Rewari district) which is in the National Capital Region of India. It is situated on national highway NH 48, approximately 14 km from Rewari city, 100 km from Delhi, and 185 km from the university campus in Hisar. The college spans across 248 acres, encompassing academic buildings, hostels,research facilities, playgrounds, roads, and students' farm.
The college boasts excellent infrastructure facilities, including academic building, hostels, multimedia classrooms, well-equipped laboratories, seminar room, computer & language lab, library and students' farm. It also provides well-maintained sports facilities, separate hostels for boys and girls, an NSS unit, and various co-curricular activities for the holistic development of students. All students are required to register for at least one game/cultural activity and participate in NSS/NCC. The college has dedicated and competent faculty members who impart quality education in different disciplines of agriculture and allied fields.
In addition to classroom teaching, laboratory and field practical are integral part of teaching; students gain practical crop production experience through a one-year program. They undergo a six-month Rural Agricultural Work Experience (RAWE) that also includes industrial exposure. The curriculum encompasses agro-based skill-oriented modules, study tours, exposure visits and research opportunities for post-graduate students from the College. The college follows a unique teacher-student relationship inspired by the ancient Gurukul pattern fostering moral values in students. The rural environment in which students reside and study, prepares them to learn the traditional knowledge and advance agricultural technologies to serve the farming community and contribute to the growth of country, effectively. To date, 86 students have completed their B.Sc. (Hons.) Ag. from this college and are now serving in various sectors such as universities, banks, armed forces, input industries, line departments, co-operative sectors and other public and private sectors.
