The University has an Engineering Unit headed by Estate Officer-cum- Chief Engineer with Dy. Estate Officer, Architect, XENs, SDEs, JEs, Design Cell along with supporting staff. There are four Divisions i.e. two civil divisions, one public health and one electrical division. One civil division i.e XEN (C-1) is responsible for maint. of roads, hostels, old campus residential area as well as office buildings at Hisar campus and outstations viz.Jind, Rohtak, Sonepat, Bhiwani, Bawal, Mahendergarh, Mandkola, Faridabad, Palwal etc. The second civil division - XEN(C.II) is responsible for maintenance of new campus residential area alongwith some of the office buildings at Hisar campus and outstations at Sirsa, Fatehabad, Kaithal, Kaul, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Ambala & Pinjore etc. The PH Division is maintaining water supply/sewerage in the campus and farms of CCSHAU including the day-to-day public health maintenance in the residential area as well as office buildings and college buildings, hostels etc. Likewise, the electrical division is responsible for maintaining electric supply, maintc. of generators, EPABX system in the HAU and operation & upkeep of Indira Gandhi Auditorium. The Dy. Estate Officer is responsible for maintaining sanitation in the campus. The land record/property of HAU is also being looked after by the DEO. Similarly, the Architectural work is being done by the Architect Branch. The Engg. Unit has provided excellent physical facilities for teaching, research and extension at Hisar Campus and all District Headquarters/ research stations. Presently the Engineering Unit is engaged in massive renovation and upgradation of its facilities i.e. buildings, roads and hostels etc. through one time catch up grant provided by the ICAR which will not only increase the life of buildings but will also result in improved working & living environment. This Unit carry out the deposit works of Central Govt., State Govt., Boards & other outside agencies with prescribed departmental charges including Architectural, Structural Design and has constructed very prestigious buildings for State Govt., Boards and other outside agencies with prescribed departmental charges including Architectural/ Structural Design. In addition to the construction of works, the Engineering Unit is also generating income through licence fee by shop allotment and house allotment. However, the work of house allotment is being looked after by the Chairman, HAC.
