Ch. Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar is promoting Crop Residue Management and making aware the Farmers about it's importance by organizing different activities. One day workshop on "Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue" was organized at CCS HAU, Hisar on 10th August, 2018 in which officers from ICAR, Scientists from the University, 150 farmers, 35-40 Senior Scientists and Subject Matter Specialists from KVKs participated.

CCSHAU Documentary on CRM CCSHAU Krishi Mela (Rabi-2018)


Two trainings of five days duration per KVK has been organized in all the 12 ICAR funded KVKs on crop residue management. Two Farmer-Scientist Interaction per KVK on CRM were also organized in the adopted villages. In addition to that, two school and one college level mobilization programmes were also carried out in each district. KVK Scientists also imaprted hands on trainings to 10,000 farmers which includes individual/CHC farmers from 4,555 paddy growing villages of the State on use and operation of straw management implements and about prevention of crop residue burning in all 20 paddy growing districts of the state.

The Krishi mela (Rabi)-2018 was organized on October 4-5, 2018 with a theme "Promotion of Agricultural Mechanization for In-Situ Management of Crop Residue in" which 36,000 farmers participated and seed of worth Rs. 1.3 crore was sold. On this ocasion, a Rally on display of CRM Machinery was also harmonised to create awareness among the farming community.

CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar has also published a special edition of "Karyana Kheti" on CRop Residue Management.
